Var 7 is one of the Beauty World classifications in the Slipshot series.

Description

Var 7 is a Beauty World classification invented by Matere Songgaard, an Engineer Class Citizen from Griddish. As one of the Beauty Worlds, it is considered a habitable planet that undergoes a regular evolutionary process.

Terminology

Var is short for Variation. Var 7 is a child planet of Griddish and is connected to it through the Var 7 Slipshot Silo. Varlings call it Farth. The city that Slipshot Vol 1.0 is concerned with is called Nissy.

Appearance

Var 7 is a habitable planet with a diverse and robust ecosystem. A planetary ring encircles it. Nissy is a modern city with advanced public transit systems, a high tech infrastructure, and a cityscape filled with skyscrapers.

Notable Moments

Fredrick Munchen, Jillian Crenshaw, and Cythira arrive at Var 7 for the first time.

Fredrick looked around. In the distance, he saw a tall cityscape, the buildings flashing cool blue and white lights mixed with pulsating red and yellow in the rapidly darkening sky. He could hear the din and whisper of the city, and the deep hum of horn-blaring ships from some unseen sea. He took a deep breath. He saw, from beyond the cityscape, rising from the horizon, a milky slash of light. It ran continuously, in neatly arranged rows, above his head and then down towards the opposite horizon until it disappeared behind dark mountains.
